Discover the story behind the Metro Vipers, a baseball team born from a shared love for the game in Las Vegas, Nevada.
From humble beginnings to a thriving team
Our Metro Vipers baseball team was established in 2023. The team consists of 24 Officers (20 Patrol Officers, 1 Patrol Sgt, 1 Correction Officer and 1 Civilian Radio Shop Employee). This team was formed to participate in the Police versus Fire Charity games nationwide and to give Department members an extracurricular activity to help promote physical fitness in a sport environment. Our baseball team is currently playing in the National Baseball Association for Adults and has players with all levels of experience from Little League, High School, College and Professional teams. If there are any Department members looking to have some fun and join our baseball team, please email j17202c@lvmpd.com. Please include highest level of experience played, which positions you would be comfortable playing, and your days off/shift.
